Consultation

Expert guidance when you need it most

Child protection isn't always clear-cut. Sometimes a situation arises that doesn't fit neatly into a policy, a concern is raised that you're unsure how to respond to, or you simply want a trusted second opinion before taking action. That's exactly what our consultation service is for.

We provide practical, experienced guidance to help organisations and individuals navigate the complexities of child safety and wellbeing with clarity, care and confidence.

When you're not sure what to do next, we're here.

How we work with you

Ongoing consultation

Many of our clients choose to work with us on an ongoing basis after we have developed their child protection policies, procedures and safe practices. These regular consultations, typically monthly, over a period of six months to three years,  provide continuity, accountability and a trusted resource as situations evolve and organisations grow. Having us in your corner means you're never facing a child protection question alone.

One-off situational consultation

Sometimes a specific concern arises and you need prompt, reliable advice. Our one-off consultations give you access to expert guidance for those moments — whether you're assessing whether a situation requires action, working through how to respond appropriately, or wanting reassurance that you're on the right track.

General child safety and wellbeing advice

We consult on any matter relating to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. If it involves a child and you're uncertain, we're the right people to call.

Who we work with

We consult with church and faith community leaders, organisational managers and boards, child protection officers, parents and caregivers, and anyone carrying responsibility for the safety of children and young people in New Zealand.

Confidential, compassionate and practical

We understand that these conversations can be sensitive. Everything discussed in our consultations is handled with the utmost confidentiality and care. Our approach is never to judge but always to help you find the clearest, safest path forward for the children in your care.

Ready to talk?

Whether you have an urgent concern or simply want to explore how ongoing consultation could support your organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
